I did go into preterm labour and my cervix shortened while I was working. They gave me demerol and it stopped my contractions. This was probably caused by work and stress. My doctor put me on sick leave from work and bed rest. I was diligent and followed my doctors orders. My water broke at 39 weeks and I have a beautiful, healthy daughter.

Good luck & take care of yourself

I think instead of asking for experiences (since some could be bad, and that would worry you) just try not to think about it. Lie down like you're supposed to, drink some juice and read a good book, and think positive thoughts about your baby. At 27 weeks, you're already doing pretty well, so just relax! And congratulations by the way.

It can occur, however it isn't a observed reason. Sometimes your child runs out of room to maintain developing so your frame begins to enter hard work. Sometimes now not. Just is determined by your being pregnant, and the way some distance your frame will stretch. I am just a little over five'three" and feature had my kids early, however were triggered as a result of scientific explanations unrelated to my peak. I had began to dilate already and my frame used to be very receptive to the inducing medication so the dr thinks I used to be going to give inside the week anyhow. I went three weeks early with child #one million, as a result of pre-eclampsia scares, and he or she used to be eight lbs. I went two weeks early with child #two, as a result of due dates now not including up(ultrasound due date used to be a month previous than due date via LMP so dr triggered me within the center), and he or she used to be eight lbs 6 oz.. Just speak in your dr what he thinks could be your probabilities of going early, and continually look forward to indicators of work!! Best of success!
