Are you serious you both are young he probably isn't even a full 24 months older than you.... and if your 17 than you will be 18 in a matter of months anyway, now if you were 16 then I'll tell you to wait...but then again I don't know what state your in the law is strict about this kind of thing....but I think you guys should be alright...

No, you should not feel weird at all. Anything more than a 10 year age gap and that is when you should begin to wonder. I, myself, am 27 and dating a guy who is 36. We also have a lot in common and have a lot of respect for each other. Of course, we have also known each other for almost 7 years prior to dating, so we have had a lot of time to get to know each other.

No way. He's only 2 years older. My boyfriend is 2 and a half years older than me, he's 20 now and I'm 17.

You don't say how old you are....If you're young, say 12 - 16, I would say, stick with someone your own age. Guys two yrs older are most likley just looking for sex. However, if you're over the age of 18, two years really doesn't make much different. AND, if you're over the age of say 30, I'd tell you to date guys younger! Hope this helps.

Naw, it's normal to like a guy that's older. Women mature quicker than men do, being the reason why girls like older guys. My bf's 4 years older than I am, two years isn't a bad age difference :)

A guy that's two years older is not bad at all. Girls usually date guys that are older. I say if you like the guy, go for it.

Age (gap) has really little to fo with the way you feel about someone. Some relationships have a gap of 6 months, in the other direction and other have a gap of 8 years.

It's how you look at it. In your case, it should hardly matter.

I'm 32 and my Gf is 22. We have a great relationship, because we respect each other. Plus I didn't really mature until I was 27, so we are probably about even.

oh honey, you must be really young to ask that question.
my first husband was 5 years older, my second husband 6 years older.
while I was single I dated guys from 14 years younger than me to 15 years older than me.
when you are older, it won't matter how old he is or how young he is, as long as you are both adults.

All depends on how old you both are right now. My husband and I are 6 years apart, and it works perfect for us. I can tell you right now though that if we had started dating when I was 14 and he was 20, my Dad will still have the mason jar containing the dude's testicles proudly displayed on his desk!
