A moustache or mustache as it is spelled in America is hair grown on upper lip. In some parts of the world it is a custom, some grow it thin and some grow it thick and groom it. There are other reasons for growing it too. I had a scar on upper lip , due to an accident I had as a little boy of 9 years and I grew it to cover up the black scar but later when I shaved off the mustache, the scar had vanished. But by then I had grown used to the hair on upper lip. You don't like it? LOL ok

It doesn't make us more interesting looking...TO YOU but there are plenty others who prefer it actually. It is just like asking what exactly is the point of eyebrows or something. As for their biological function or evolutionary explanation, I don't know. Most men (becauseof culture) keep them because its a manly thing to do. In some cultures, you are actually considered like a transexual or not manly enough if you are a man and you don't keep a mustache just like how in the West, men cannot be seen crying or holding hands and kissing on the lips (or kissing at all).

A moustache is not a question, statement, or a constitution; therefore, it does not need to have a point.
A moustache is a personal grooming choice and therefore does NOT require an explanation.
You have your grooming choices and you have your choices of what you like in men. Make your choices. Enjoy them.
It is fine that you don't like moustaches on men. Don't date them. Leave them to the woman who do enjoy them. There are plenty of them.

I love mustaches! I think men don't have as many fashion changes they can make like women do, so they can change their hair and mustaches/beard.

I have one and want to shave it off but my wife says my upper lip is too thin and I look better with it. I think it's all a matter of opinion.

traditionally men have them and women dont , unless u have them, but also it is difficult for women to have them. we keep what we have and i suggest u keep what u have. And its a matter of personal choice, u r the first one i have come across who doesnt like a moustache on men, or may be your choices r different.

Probably rhetorical in nature, but ask yourself this -> Why does it matter you have those new pair of shoes when you already have 20 + pair? The answer is the same for both questions.

I grew a mustache because it helps make my face look less fat.
