The whole point is that it is 'lost in translation'. it is their private moment, however listening very carefully and taking the scene in context with the rest of the movie, the characters reactions, facial expressions etc I believe it goes something like this "I'll come back for you but first i've got to go back and tell the truth ok?" I think that is the gist, the last part of the sentance is definitely correct. it is slightly ambiguous, but having watched the film, what ending would you prefer? I think it should be that they end up together.

I have seen this film twice now and thought i missed the whispering in the ear the first time as the sound was low, but this time i had it turned up, you cant make out what he says its deliberate to keep you guessing. i think i heard something though about never forgetting. i really enjoyed this movie and thought the sexual tension was great you could tell they really liked each other but they them selves were "lost in translation" and never actually managed to communicate it to each other..

I think it was deliberately meant to be "Lost In Translation".
If you don't hear something (and assuming the sound guys were still being paid), the chances are the director did not want you to hear it.
