Just wanted to check up on my child. Not wanting to be morally corrupt or do anything illegal - just being a diligent Mom. Sorry to have pissed you off.

Thanks you guys, I learned something here. I will be direct with my child and install Parental Controls. Sorry to have generated mistrust and instilled anxiety.

Yes there are but if you are concerned about your child's behavior on the computer, you are better off installing parental control on what your child can and can't browse on the internet.

From a parenting stand point, I would not suggest spying on your child this way. I know that communication with children can be difficult sometimes but I do not think this is the solution. It says a lot about your faith in your child and the channels of communication between you and your child. Do you really need to resort to spying on your child?

The consequences could be catastrophic if the child found out that you are spying on him/her. It will probably worsen the relationship and breakdown the communication between you and your child even further.

It is better to be a noisy mom and just ask your child directly and be open about it.

I suppose if you are willing to rifle through somebody's office or put them in a trance and trick them into telling you and then instructing them to not remember, then yeah, there is.

Other than that you would need to install a keystroke logger which would be against the law if it is not your computer.

This is morally currupt behavior and hasn't a shred of integrity in doing such a thing. If you have no morals, don't care about the state of your integrity as a human, then go ahead and become one of those oh, so, dispised crackers and privacy invaders.

Have a really horrid day.
