How stupid are people our ages these days?

Those kids who get raped and s h i t like that i'm tired of hearing it on tv it's stupid they get raped over that myspace website why don't they just not talk to these i people they call pedofiles yeah i have know idea how to spell it but why can't they just avoid them because myspace might get banned or something and thats gonna suck just because of stupid kids and pedofiles my real question is why don't they stop talking to these people?

Because kids are stupid. Teens will reach out to ANYBODY who will accept them as they are, and the problem is that they see what happens on tv, and they think "that will NEVER happen to me" And there in lies the problem. The best thing that we can do is to make sure that any kids/teens that we know are aware of the precautions that they need to take, and just pray for the rest. I doubt that myspace will get shut down, it's too big.

Cause on the Internet it's easy for a sick pedophile to pretend to be a young guy or girl, but you're absolutely right, it's not MySpace's or any other site's fault that this happens, people do need to be responsible, even kids in this day and age. Parents need to watch what their kids are doing more closely, it's not just going down the street to play with your friends anymore, now ppl have friends everywhere. It's all common sense stuff. If you're gonna meet someone from the Net, you have to do it in a public place, even if you're an adult, you just never know. It's just too easy for ppl to pretend they're something they aren't.

Why, Back in the day, we didn't have crime. Why we didn't even have a word for it. Someone got killed, it was the will of the gods, and daggnabbit, we liked it that way. None of these people with their "The Devil made me do it" excuses.

And on the concept of Rape, back in the day, we could have any woman we wanted, and no one cared. Just conk em on the back of the head, and take em back to our caves.

In all actuality, stupidity is like evolutions way of reasserting itself into a society that has attempted to banish it. I think stupidity is perhaps the only unacceptable Evolutionary trait that society has. But for every 10 of these idiot children out there, getting themselves killed because they have an IQ in the negative digits, there is perhaps one shining example of intelligence just waiting to make the next big scientific breakthrough.

Think of society as sort of a bellcurve. There are the idiots (That make the news sooooo entertaining) there are a few of them, but in a world of 6.5 Billion people, those few number in the millions. Then there are the average people, that we have Billions of. And finally we have the exceptional few. Like the X-men (kidding).

In conclussion, yeah, some kids are stupid.... But somewhere out there, there is someone that proves that not everyone is a moron.

Because people like to hear that they are pretty or make a difference....or whatever! But yeah, I know what you mean. People are just stupid in the way that they go about meeting new people. There are too many kids, and some adults, that make bad choices, like telling where they live and whatnot. People just don't have worries, or common sense.

Even better question, why should we have to worry about pedophiles? The world is stupid and sick!

I agree with you and what you are saying. Well i don't have a myspace cuz of those reasons. I just hope yahoo! answers doesn't become a real bad place to go on. i really like it here. and i have (had some people email me through yahoo on here and they seem pretty nice and cool too) but i still can't be sure of them. i wanna protect my self and never become one of those teens that got hurt cuz of the interent. so i gotta look out for myself. i don't give out real personal info. that is like the number one mistake that most teens make they give out too much info. i just never wanna become one of them and so therefore i will do what i have to to stay out of those situations.

Yeah i hear ya.They bring it on them selfs and further more this use of the internet should only be avalible for adult use only.If i had it my way you would have to be 18 to use the internet.They aren't alowed to look at dirty books or drink,hmmm but they can use the internet.Well to bad to sad thats what i say.They want to have ciber sex and meet people they dont even know so be it.It would't happen as much if by law kids under the age of 18 weren't allowed on hear.

I think a lot of the time these kids have family problems and along comes someone caring and understanding telling them what they want to hear, or these men pass themselves off as kids the same age, befriend them and later tell them their real age. By then the kid has already developed a trusting friendship

People are just steadily losing intelligence, and I'm quite serious about this thing.

I just think younger girls are swayed easily by words when guys say they love them or they think they're beautiful. But online preditors try to get the ones who are feeling depressed and who hate their life or their parents.

I mean, older males have talked to me before, but y'know, since I'm not lacking intelligence I've blocked them right away because I rather not have to deal with their stupidity as well.

There is no age limit to stupidity, and there is no short answer to this question. My personal wish is that all the pedophiles and sex creeps on the planet would just up and die and make the lives of the rest of us a lot easier....
