In Doncaster town centre on a Saturday night I have the same phobia... the birds there scare the living daylight out of me!

It's called CFA or compulsive-flapping-aversion. if you were savaged by a moth or butterfly when young then you are in the high risk bracket for developing this phobia. I once had a fear of herbs but I confronted that fear and now I use them without any problem.

I think u will find its actually called Ornithophobia, think you transposed the letters.

My mate is terrified of anything that flies - birds, wasps, bees, flies, moths, butterflies, absolutely terrified.

Fear of insects is called Acarophobia or Entomophobia so youve got a bit of a combination!

wow, i´ve never heard of that. I´m sorry you have that phobia, it must be very difficult to live like that since those things are everywhere. Have you talked to a dr/psychologist? you can work and get over those fears. Good luck!

You need to find a therapist, your GP may be able to help. Therapist needs to be trained in cognitive behavioural therapy and they would help you to change your thought and behaviour patterns. It can work and is well worth a try. Best of luck - you can do it.

theres probably a ladybird inside you, this causes phobia when you are near them because it sends signals through your brain waves
