How long does it take to make 1 anime movie?

It takes a long time. There's alot of process involved in trying to make anime movies. But if you're talking about movies in general then it would take at LEAST 2 years to try and get it done.. because there's the story, the story-board, the animation, the touch-ups, the computer animation that is invovled, the minute details in the background, the music..

I depends on the style, how detailed and how long it is. Hayao Miyazaki's movies take a lot longer than some because they are so detailed and emence. I believe that on average (in recent years) his movies take two to two and a half years.

It depends on your resources - number of people, quality of equipment, salaries, expereince of your studio, etc. If you have experience with a positive income in the global market, it should take at least two years, from first ideas, to script drafts, story boards,e tc all the way to marketing.

it can take several months first the script has to be written and when the anime is drawn it has to be drawn frame bay frame that takes along time if drawn by hand if computer animated can take less time
