If the reason that you had a section for failure to progress chances are you will need a section again.

Reasons why a person would VBAC are
1) First baby was breech (or any other malpresentation)
2) First baby was in fetal distress.
3)Pre-eclampsia or other risk not associated with present pregnancy.

You can talk to your doctor about it but I was sectioned for FTP and i was at 8cm, the docs say I will be a c-section for any further births.

If you have had to consecutive C-Sections the chance of having a V-Bac delivery is not very good. You will more than likely have to go under the knife again the main reason being is the concern of your uterus opening up at the incision site. That could be very dangerous and possibly kill you. Some women have been able to do this but only because the baby was coming so fast that they didn't have time to get to the hospital or when they got there the baby was already coming out.

I just a vbac 2 1/2 months ago after having one c-section. it worked out great for me! my midwife and doctor knew that i wanted to try for a vbac so while in labor they didn't let me give in. they knew i can do it. it helps to have that kind of support with u in the delivery room. another factor is health and age. i'm 27 and my doctor told me i had the stamina to push him out, and i did! i was in labor for some time though, and it hurt...but u have to keep focused. if u really want to try for a vbac then u can do it. i mean, that is as long as there are not health risks for u or baby. stick it out and be strong. if ur labor is too long get induced. they used Pitocin on me and a few hours later i dilated to 8 cm's and by that point it just happened. good luck to you!!
