You live there in her house so yes she has right....Is there something you're hiding from her? (mom side of me answering this) No its not fair, and she has no right (the kid in me that went through this growing up) My final answer LOL......Your mother is probably just worried about you...Maybe you've not been talkingto her as much as you use too. She is just trying to find out whats going on with you. Have you given her any reason to not trust you recently?

You could try explaining to her that you don't have the opportunity to build trust with her going through your stuff all the time.
But the easiest answer is to just leave stuff that you don't want her seeing at a friends house. That way she just wastes her time going through everything.
And move out as soon as you hit 18 and thank her for 18 years of pure misery.

If you're a kid, you have no privacy. Your mother is right to know what is going on with your life. She may seem a bit overboard, but she may have her reasons too. Did you ever give her a reason not to trust you? Do you have screwed up siblings?

I think that it is a trust issue here. Have you given your mother a reason not to trust you? I don't think that she is doing this to be hurtful to you. Usually if a mother goes through her child's things she is worried about them. Talk to your mother more, let her know what is going on in your life, try and earn her trust.

Does she have a reason to not trust you or is she just nosy? If she's just nosy ask her what's wrong with her life that she needs to invade that only space that is truly yours. Also, go through her stuff and see how she likes it.

Unless you are legal age, all you can do is put up with her invasions. Just remember this when it comes time for you to be worried about what your teenager is up to.
