Based on Stats given in the 1993 Macmillan Encyclopedia, Mule Suttles hit 190 recorded HRs in ***** League play.

However, Josh Gibson is considered (with good reason) to be the greatest power hitter of ***** League baseball.

Stat-keeping in ***** League baseball was spotty at best, and researchers are still in the process of compiling data from available box scores.

As many box scores and newspaper accounts of games have been lost, we'll never really know who the all time leaders were in ***** League baseball.

Gibson's total of almost 800 home runs, as shown on his Hall of Fame plaque, includes home runs hit against all opponents, including barnstorming trips, exhibition games, etc... it is by no means an official ***** League record.

Babe Ruth would have hit 900 to 1,000 HR's if all barnstorming and exhibition games were included in his record.
