I mean to some it is sarcasm, or a reply that implies you thought the question was retarded. I do that myself sometimes. It depends. I agree with you however that a good third to a half of the answers are repetative or just plain rediculous. It IS hard not to be witty sometimes, as an observers like you surely knows. You just skip over it or don't bother with it. A mart person once told me "That which you give attention, receives attention."
