Boone could end up being a waiver deadline trade candidate, which is in late August, so he doesn't necessarily have to be moved by July 31. Once a nice option in all leagues, Boone is now worth no more than a roster spot in AL formats, while batting .250.

Marte is an rather warm prospect yet till he's given time to play he will wilter. Boone, even with the undeniable fact it quite is a superb sufficient participant to be enjoying accepted. that's a annoying determination. they could commerce Boone sometime this year and enable Marte play, in the event that they could't make a run for the playoffs it quite is. If no longer, extra proper shop them the two.

Boone is certainly expendible, but who's going to want him? There are other players out there that have more value, if the Indians would be willing to take the peanut vendor in exchange for him, they might get a deal, but I don't think that will happen.

Andy Marte is the 3B of the future in Cleveland.

No! His grandfather, Ray Boone, was signed by the Indians in 1942! Besides, the Indians are 23 games out of first place. They suck!

Nobody wants him. I'm not sure what Boone's contract is, but I imagine the Indians would be better off just releasing him. They would still have to pay him, but at least they could bring up prospect Andy Marte and let him play.

If his defense sucks and he isn't hitting that good, what makes you think a team would want to trade for him in the first place?

Yes, they have Marte now to play 3rd. And at least if they trade Boone for nothing, like they did Broussard, at least it won't matter.

I think it would have to depend on who the Indians could get in return. From the way you phrased your question it sounds like you'd be happy with a lump of coal for him. I personally haven't heard any trade rumors where his name was mentioned.
