The pain is overrated. Seriously. And if you're considering a standard bikini wax, you might as well go all the way.

The pain lasts for a second, doesn't linger at all (your skin is pretty resilient to pain). If you can get used to the pain of waxing your legs and underarm then you can definitely get used to this.

Hair has to be about 1cm in length. Make sure the beautician uses wax that will harden and NOT strip wax that they typically use on legs. Wax that hardens will get a better grip on the hair so it reduces the chances of the beautician having to re-wax the same area if the first try missed hair (and re-waxing the same area could cause bruising).

I think the BIGGER issue people have is being comfortable while naked from the waist down in front of someone else.

1. Try and be comfortable with the person doing the waxing.
2. You do not need any painkillers (unless you REALLY can't take ANY kind of pain). If you want, you can buy an anaesthetic cream from a pharmacy apply it just before you go for the waxing.
3. Beauticians are professionals and there is no reason for you to be paranoid about what they could possibly think of your body. They do this for a living. They're like dentists.
4. Stare at the ceiling during the waxing, do NOT look at what's going on down there.

Does it hurt: Yes, like a mother....but not for long :)
Is is worth it: Hell, yes!

I went for a full bikini wax (Brazilian) regularly for 2 years before i saved up enough money to for laser hair removal (best money i ever spent).

I did these wax a couple of time, but it hurts SOOO bad. I don't recommend..... I've done Laser Hair Removal for my entire body (down there, too)... Laser still hurts but only 4 or 5 times in ur life time. I'm bald and happy with that.LOL

Why not just trim any hair that might be visible? I've heard that waxing is painful. I also don't understand the desire to be completely bare.

I don't recommend any of them. They leave you swollen and bleeding and don't last even a week. You will still have to shave, if you want to wear a bikini.

it depends on what you want, on your lifestyle, and if you have the time to manage it.
