The question is for my Grandmother. She would like to know how does she obtain a certified copy of her court appointed guardianship papers for my twin brothers in the state of Michigan?

She would contact the Clerk of Court for the County in Michigan where the Guardianship was awarded. Just give them the names of the parties involved, and they can get you a copy. It might cost a few dollars, but they would be able to send you a copy.

You probably want a Certified Copy-----that is MUCH different than just a copy. So, if I were you, I would ask for a Certified Copy.

Good luck!

Go to your county Recorders office (might also be called Records, or the County Clerks office). They have all official court documents in their files from their county. You can obtain certified copies from them. The city courthouse where the order was made might also have a copy.

start with the superior court or county clerks office to access the records from the case. you will need proof of identity for all persons of the case name to access this information. and sometimes a fee. most courts should have this in the family services division an a computer database.
