Maybe she's misguided and she thinks money equals security in a relationship. Maybe she feels that the amount of money you spend on her is a measurable proof to how much you love and appreciate her. Maybe she grew up very hard off and views love to someone her only means of getting out of that cycle and situation. Maybe she sees Music Videos and stars who all they do is give the woman diamonds in return for her –quote quote- “love”, and assumes that’s what popular and rich people do and that it’s accepted.
Is it shallow? Yes. Is it totally without warrant? No, because a man should be willing to make and expend some money to see to her care, and any children that come along. But she should be balanced as well.
It’s such a wonderful thing to receive a gift from someone who gives it to you, just because they really do care and they can’t wait to the see the look on your face. When someone is expected to constantly give another person gifts, it takes all the magic and joy out of the giving process. She’s far too focused on the money aspect and the value of the gift, rather than the sentiment and the person giving it, as should be.
Anyway, I would look at ways to show her by example, that you can display love and affection and care for her – without spending money. Hugs are free, car washes/oil changes, picking the movie, making up her favorite dinner, and never underestimate the power of genuine WORDS.
P.S. If you think she’s a golddigger because she expects you to pay a reasonable amount of bills, dinners, groceries, gas, and the occasional boquet and trinket (hey even Walmart sells diamonds for less than the cost of a VIDEO GAME), then I think you should reconsider how you define a “golddigger.”

i dont think...any guy or girl should make their partner change unless they see a problem and want to. in this case this gurl is who she is...and if you dont like it dump her and fine someone else that will want u for more than ur money.
