Play Beauty shop - do her hair in braids, pony tails, tie ribbons on,
etc., and put make up on her and then allow her to do the same to you.
Bake Cookies together, make fun shapes, decorate with raisins, candies, coconut, etc.
Play the match game with not more than 8 cards or pictures you both have drawn on small pieces of paper, (4 matching pairs=8)
Tire her out w/ aerobics to upbeat kid music.

Kids at that age love to learn and explore, anything that has to do with sensory they will love, finger paint, playing in shaving cream (that is the greatest), patty cake, make cookies and let him/her form there own cookies, play in the sand or mud is even better,

Remember it is just dirt and it does wash off, but wash it off before mom or dad gets home, they will greatly appreciate it and you will instantly become babysitter of the year with both parents and child.

You can get color wonder crayola paints (mess free) and do a finger painting activity with her. Or you can play with shapes and sing songs with her. You could turn the sprinkler on and play with the water. You guys could also make witches brew, where you take all sorts of candy like gummy fish, gummy worms, goldfish, raisins, whoppers, pretzels, etc and put each candy in a seperated sack (like the lunch paper sacks) and write the name on the outside (assign fake characters). so for example, like for worms you could write on the bag with the worms in it, slimy worms. For whoppers, put little mud balls, for pretzels, put a coral reef, etc. And let her dump the bags in order (as you wish) into a pot. Its a fun way to get her imagination going.

Alex! Bad!
Well kids that age love watching tv shows, but if you want to keep her away from tv try singing songs with her or playing with her toys. My neice is big on playing with her castle and her tea set, shes about the same age. You could also put something like Barney on (i know, i know...) and play along with it. Or maybe if she has paper and crayons take her outside and let her color?

Let her 'paint' with chocolate pudding(use fingerpaint paper) and when it dries spray it with hairspray to keep out the bugs. Or you can try Magic Mud (cornstarch mixed with a little water)...it washes up with water, won't hurt the child if they eat it and if it gets on carpet let dry then vaccum.
FamilyFun.com has lots of ideas too.

Bubbles are fun... also if there is any shaving cream around, you can put some on a cookie sheet and make "beautiful" pictures. The child will love it and its easy to clean up with no staining.
