Wasn't it invented by people to be a cover up? I always suspect someone smells bad naturally and needs it as a coverup. There are a lot of people who have migraines due to perfume. It creates a toxic environment.

Perfume was invented as a coverup for stinky people in the dark ages, they did not believe in bathing then--the Church said it was a sin, so they didn't bathe for months on end. Amazing. How could they even stand getting close enough to each other to propagate? Anyway, I dislike almost all perfume on women, and all perfume on men. To me, people smell best natural and clean.

I believe that I once read somewhere that perfume was created by the Egyptians, out of the oils of flowers. And it was used as an aphrodisiac. Over the years it has been altered and changed, and there was even an era where it was used to cover up BO.... if you've ever heard of or smelled petruli oil you will know exactly what I'm talking about. Petruli oil was used by "hippies" to cover up because they were always traveling and almost never able to shower regularly. And today people smell perfume in the stores and think "wow, that is great" but when they get home and use it, it doesn't always smell like it did in the store. That is because everyones body chemistry is different, and if a person smokes, or drinks that can change their personal odor from day to day, so they go for what I call an "overkill". There is a saying I like... "Less is More", and if more people lived by that , then maybe the environmental issues wouldn't be so great. I hope I answered some of your question. I tend to ramble on.

I don't think that people take others in to consideration, they don't think that it might offend another sensibility's. I try not to wear perfume I mostly stick with lotion that have a sent. If I do wear perfume I make sure not to wear to much. When I was pregnant I was much more sensitive to smells and that's when i stop trying to get attention through smelling good and I also realized that it can be to over powering and then know one want to be near. I hope others who read this that wear to much will think twice!!! We don't want to smell you!!!!

tell her courteously that her fragrance is desirable yet you ask your self whether she ought to tone it down slightly. you have observed some human beings have allergies and it extremely is making it hard for them to artwork. even nonetheless she is obnoxious, she would have a heart. provide her of challenge. If she maintains, sign a petition and take it to the super boss soliciting for a metamorphosis in corporation coverage approximately very own hygiene. yet some human beings ought to no longer think of approximately it. I labored at a wellbeing midsection until now and this grow to be our departmental coverage - no fragrance. Then, you may bypass upstairs and a few nurses might reek! How ought to they no longer think of it would not influence ill human beings? some human beings basically ought to learn head to head. solid success!

trust me, I understand why you're upset. some of that perfume/ cologne gives me a headache too. maybe if they didn't empty the entire bottle of perfume on themselves it wouldn't be so bad. The saying " a dab will do" isn't applicable to many people.

They probably wear it just to piss you off. Knowing how you feel so strongly about it.
But truth is that taste differs. What's obnoxious to you might just be a smell of paradise to some other person.

They think it makes them smell nicer. If you wear a small amount it's okay. Deodorant should be enough - I don't wear perfume.

The problem is to them it is lovely, it's just obnoxious to those who have allergies or migraines. You know the old saw,
"What's one man's poison ..."
