I am boycotting all remakes of any movies or sitcoms. I would love to send the message to Hollywood that it's time for some fresh ideas not just recycled trash. Anyone agree? I personally would be happy if I never had to see another remake like Charlie's Angels or Garfield. Quit making money on other peoples ideas.

Honey I am sorry to tell you this but Hollywood hasn't had an original idea ever.

You're right on one thing, ladymo ... there is a total dearth of creativity in Gollywood!

There is no more "story" or "plot" in movies ... it's all about action and computer-generated stunts and crashes.

Humor is either gutter or slapstick.

Writers are either lazy or have no original ideas. Thus, they simply re-write old, successful movies and series.

Producers and network execs haven't the guts to stick with intelligent dramas and work on building an audience ... they just cancel them or place them against a competing network's top show ... and wonder why they don't generate numbers.

Gollywood has gone so far downhill creatively that they should be ashamed.

I'm not much of a boycotter, however. They likely wouldn't miss my business very much anyway, since I gave up going to most movies several years ago. LOL

There are some good remakes out there, like Battlestar Gallactica, that show is very cool, also the new version of Dr. Who is good, There are way too many bad remakes out there, I have to agree but sometimes a new take on an old idea comes out with something wonderful.
I don't usually go to the theater to see a remake, but sometimes I'll rent them for $1.

I like the different idea that people come out with. Everyone has there own idea about how batman should be or charlie's angel. If someone knows how to remake a computer to fit other people needs are you going to boycott that as well. People have the right to remake what they want. and if people like it than it's going to sell. but if you don't that's fine, just don't buy it.

I partially agree, but some movies, I think need to be remade, so younger generations can enjoy modern versions. I mean, some older movies are classics. But Charlies Angels was nothing like the show, and Garfield was nothing like the show. It's kind of depressing how horrible the movies actually turned out. ( I would like to make a big point to say Bewitched the movie was horrible)

That is why I prefer to see indie or foreign films. I do not go to the movies anymore because of the lack of originality and imagination of the filmmakers. Remember, Hollywood is not the only place where good movies are made.

I totally agree!! Hollywood has gotten so stagnant. Everytime I see the "Miami Vice" movie ads on tv I just laugh. I won't go see any of the remakes.

I haven't been to t theater for years, and I rarely rent CD movies anymore for the same reason. When they re-made Flight of The Phoenix, that was the last straw for me.

What's up with Steve Martin starring in so many of these? He use to be funny.

I boycott reality shows.

They are lazy in television also.

The last good television show was "American Dreams" and those idiots at NBC (Nerds, Butt-heads, and Commies) deserve to fall behind UPN.

That was a wholesome show, it reminded me of "The Walton's." It was well thought out, well written, and the time-line was beyond acceptable.
