Well your first question about UN intervention; it should be noted the UN was there; on the ground, in Lebanon and in the territory where ground combat is going on. The UN was there to keep Hezzbolah from arming; and what did they do? They bought or received 12,000 to 13,000 rockets from Syria and Iran. This is why the Israelis shut down the port, struck the airport and the highway to Syria first.

Israel is going after a terrorist organization with ties to al queda and extremism in Islam. Bush isn't about to stop anyone from attacking such a group.

Israel doesnt obey UN rules, well it was UN that gave Israel the land from Palestinians. At the time UN was good, now UN is "nonesense, terrorist supporter" and anything negative that comes to your mind anytime in the future if USA doesnt support Israel they will have bad relationship, because USA is Israel's puppet for the world. The whole world knows it except for USA.

He is trying to get an intervention in there. He is already committed the maximum that a president can commit to any one conflict, 30k soldiers. This is a mistake. We should not get involved. Israel is stopping a movement that is against the US as well in the long run. This is an ally of Iran.

Because Israel is the only American ally in that part of the world.

Dunno, but I support the Israelis killing every one of those Hezbollah nuts. Fact is this could be it. Arab support is starting to come together behind Hezbollah - check out today's news. If the Arabs start to pile on, guess where we'll be going? Who makes munitions for the US? I'd like to buy their stock.
