So many times, friends, family, etc. say "oh we should do this, or we should do that", yet they rarely ever follow through. Are they just being social and never intend on doing whatever they said, or are people just too busy to be bothered?

when they say it, they have good intentions. People have busy lives. At the time they say it, they mean it (usually) but then they get caught up with work, school, just life in general, and forget all about it.

Because most people live their lives like what they say doesn't matter. Some people come from that what they do matters. And they live their life as who they are is their word. Like it's important to honor their word. But when you are someone who has low self-esteem, someone not really up to anything in life--then it's like what difference does it make if I do what I say or not? They may not say they are a nobody and their actions speak for them.

Basic course of human nature.. when someone says we should do this ir that, take them up on it.. start makeing plans and follow through.. thats the real problem, they probably want to but dont get around to doing it.

life goes by quickly when busy...what i do..when someone says that ...i pop out the calendar and we pick a date 3 months away...so that everyone has time to make plans....and then we set it in stone..and send out email reminders...so no one forgets about it....
it is usually trying to find a take charge person..so you need to be that person..if you want to see things get done!

i say that to not be rude. i really try my hardest to avoid it. cuz i hate it when they do that to me.
