They lie three times.
They aren't international.
They aren't really a "house".
...and they don't ONLY serve pancakes. They have full breakfasts, but I bet they sell more waffles than pancakes anyway.
Sue them three times.

u can sue anyone. But the issue is this: do u have a claim? Did their advertisment harm u in some way? For example, did travel abroad soley to eat at IHOP only to discover that the franchise only operates in the US? Or, did u invest in an IHOP franchise; for the sole purpose of opening up in, say Jakarta, where pork is not allowed to be sold or culturally forbidden? For a law suit to have merit in this type of situation, the plaintiff must have suffered a harm under the pretense of the advertisement, etc. (I am not advising anyone. I am simply stating the common understanding of harm and a claim. Please seek qualified legal council in your jurisdiction.) Michael

You could sue, but you would lose because you are wrong. You would likely end up with a judgment against you for the amount of money it would cost IHOP to defend itself against such a ridiculous lawsuit.

Good Luck!

They are not referring to the corporation as international they are referring to the different types of pancakes. i.e. Belgian waffles.

Actually it is international, even if it is largely based in the US. So yes, you could sue them, and they would rip you apart.

By "international", they are referring to the kitchen help. Nobody back there is American.
