Why not? Because he USED to be a player? LOL! What man WASN'T at some point in his life? Some people do grow up. Trust needs to be earned, slowly. A little at a time. Take it one step at a time, and be open with him, so he's more likely to be open with you, and use your intuition. It isn't always right, but it is just about the only thing we have to go on when we are learning to trust and don't know all the answers. Good luck to you!

hmmm... well, try talking to his other friends or some of your friends to see what they think and see if he is worth your time. Hopefully he has grown up since then and is no longer a player. Also, notice how he acts around other girls when you are with him. Does he noticably stop and stare or make an extra effort to talk to a pretty girl? Or does he ignore all other girls when you are with him? How does he introduce you to his friends? (his gf, his friend, or does he not even introduce you?) Those are some little things you can take notice of to see if he is trustworthy. If you are still unsure and you absolutely need to know, try finding out what his email password is to make sure he doesn't have any emails from other girls. Hopefully he has changed! Good luck!

My question is, how could you stoop so low as to date your ex fiance' best friend? Once a player always a player.

Why would you trust someone who would date his best friend's ex-fiance? Doesn't that scream no integrity?
