Isn't it offensive to anybody else that they tell us we came from monkeys. Give me a break. Why arn't monkeys still turning into humans? Not to mention the fact that Darwin admitted to making it up. Now I now your all going to say freedom of choice and I agree. If you want to pretend you came from a chimp thats fine with me, but if we really have freedom of choice then teach both evolution and creation. Let the kids decide if we came from monkeys or from God, but I think its much better to consider ourselves desined then accidentally BANGED together.

The problem isn't that they're teaching it in schools, the problem is that they aren't teaching it very well evidently. Nobody thinks Humans came from monkeys. They think that Monkeys and Humans both came from Apes, which are different. Darwin didn't really renounce his theory, that's church propaganda. We can't fight lies with more lies.

They teach the Theory of Evolution, because it's a valid scientific theory. There's evidence to support, if not prove, most of the theory. For example, dogs adapt longer or shorter coats over many generations to better survive their environment. That is the bulk of evolutionary theory, and it's called micro-evolution. It deals with the many changes within a species, and that part's proven.

They don't teach creationism in the schools, because it isn't the schools place. Let the churches and parents teach religion to children, let the schools teach math and science. The kids can still decide for themselves. The schools are governent institutions, and our forefathers decided a long time ago that it was wrong for the government to force a set of religious beliefs on it's people. It's too easy to corrupt that power, and the corruption easily bleeds into the church. It's best to keep them apart. One of the many problems with teaching creationism in school, is whose version would you like all children taught? Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Muslims, Gnostics, Jews, Mormans, and Buddhists all have markedly different beliefs on how the world was created. Would you prefer that your children were taught from the Quran in school?

The good news, is that it can be a valuable lesson for your children to learn how adults disagree, and what other people's viewpoints are. If they learn about Evolution in school, and at home you explain to them why it's a faulty theory, they'll learn a much more valuable lesson about how to disagree with someone and learn from them at the same time. Even if you think someone is flat out wrong, it's useful to hear them out and find out what they think and why. That's an adult skill that many people lack. Take advantage of it as an important lesson. Ultimately, it's you and not the school who is responsible for educating your child. Teach them what you want them to know.

Sir, everything is constantly changing, Nature works in the millions of years. You do not need a break, you need to go to the library more often and read!

You seem to be unduly concerned about not coming from a monkey, explain why you still have so much hair all over your body. Nature does not give what is not needed, and if it is no longer needed it is taken away!

Science tries to explain how it happened in book form, nature lays it out in millions of years formations. A volcano erupts,
molten lava everywhere, months latter hard, sharp rock covering the place, come back in a million or so years and you have forest teaming with life.

You spout the lowest level of mans arrogance!

Consider that nothing exists in nature that is not need to support something else in nature. If any little thing is destroyed, something else will die out. Every thing in Nature supports something else in nature, is need by nature.

Humans support nothing, are not required by anything. Since nature does not create/make what it does not need/use, How and why are humans here? If you were a monkey, you could come up with a valid answer! Don't go way mad! Smile, some one out there likes your hairy self!

i don't think you have a very realistic understanding of evolution start from the beginning and try to develop a more realistic view of what evolution is and then you might begin to see that it could still be possible that monkeys could in time evolve into a more advanced being it is called random mutation some mutations survive better because they are better adapted to their environment more colorful less colorful smarter bigger smaller more selective diet less selective diet it all depends on what the environment can support at a given time or over the course of time it is verifiable by science what does creation have to support it belief or faith in the unbelievable besides that scientist are still finding fossil evidence that darwin may have been right regardless of what you may think but real issue is the constitution the first amendment dictates separation of church and state the state governs the teaching of the schools the church does not it is the only way it can be in a self respecting free society if you want to isolate yourself to the teachings of the church go to a private school that is sponsored by the church and don't try to direct the state to break its own legally binding code of conduct

Why GOD is not making anymore Adams and eves.
Why GOD is not adding more commandments to his original 10.
why GOD is not splitting Red Sea any more?
Why GOD is not doing anymore miracles?
Why God doesn't have any more sons or daughters?

I can keep on going forever
You don't have an answer. So keep your mouth shut and learn evolution. That's where you came from a chimpanzee

Evolution theory has proof and a strong basis. Creation doesn't have any. It is only a statement. You teach that to your kids at home. Schools are there to teach science, not beliefs or statement that doesn't fit in the current world

Why is it so offensive to you that someone says humans come from monkeys, I'm a human, not a monkey, perhaps its offensive to the monkeys to be compared to us. I don't find it offensive because there is real science behind it. No one ever said that we come directly from the "apes" we know today. Thats why, as you say, monkeys aren't still turning into humans . What science has proven is that we have evolved from hominids which resembled primate-like creatures. Since these early humans did not have the survival skills necessary to become "human", newer and more adaptable hominids took their place until what we consider the modern human took form. So if we didn't evolve from a primitive human, how do you explain the archaeological and anthropological proof that is out there?

You have SO much to learn. Try reading the Origin of the species and taking a look at all the proof there is to support that evolution is NOT just a theory. There is plenty of tangible evidence that PROVES we have evolved. I don't know where you heard that statement about Darwin, but who ever told you is wrong. However, just before Darwin died, he did mention that there is a possibility God does exist, but he never said he just made everything up.....The proof is there, just ask the right questions and stop swallowing the religious rhetoric people keep feeding you.....it hurts us all. My advice is, don't listen to what people say, take a look at what they show you and that which you can see for yourself.

Ignorance is not understanding a concept, Stupidity is taking actions despite that ignorance!

Try this on for size... Evolution is the mechanism of creation. A 4.5 billion year miracle! Beats the heck out of ala kazaam "poof" Adam and Eve!

The creation of the universe is a miracle that some say has already taken 12-15 billion years, some say it is timeless!
You want to see God? Open your eyes!

Spirituality is contemplating the incomprehensible, Religion is Spirituality in a box.

Dang! What tree did you fall out of anyway, better get back with your "group".

Monkeys and humans have a common ancestor. Evolution is taught in schools because it's a scientific theory backed up by empirical evidence. Creation requires faith because it has no evidence to support it and as such belongs in religion class.
It doesn't matter what you consider better. Anyway its not like people who believe in evolution are conspiring against religious people.

Do you really think you are any better than a monkey? One day monkeys will become something entirely different. Evolution is scientific fact, and the truth is that we didn't come from monkeys at all. All life forms on the planet evol ved from microorganisms. You didn't come from monkeys, but from bacteria. How does that make you feel about your ancestry?

The problem being that creationism is a RELIGIOUS belief, not a scientific one. That is why the religious community "made up" intelligent design and tried to pass it off as a scientific theory. They don't teach you during an evolution course that you came from monkeys. Evolution is the ability of a species to change and adapt to its environment over time thru natural selection. Losing bad traits and keeping beneficial ones. As in the strongest survive and the weak die off. It's also not the schools responsibility to brainwash your kids with your religious nonsense. Kids aren't capable of making such choices on their own. School is for teaching them the gift of free thought and providing them REAL world education and knowledge.

Brainwash YOUR kids on YOUR own time.

Here is a BETTER question for you dumbass religious nuts!

WHAT makes you think that the evolutionary process and creationism have to be mutualy exclusive? If your imaginary magic man in the sky exists, you don't think his omnipotent butt is smart enough to create life with the ability to adapt and change itself over time, just as he created the earth to be in constant shift and change?

Idiots.
