The speed of light is relative. Lets say that you got a brand new car that could go 2.8X10^8 m/s, just under the speed of light (3X10^8 m/s) and you had a friend on the ground with a flashlight.

Now, both of you, one in the car, and one manning a flashlight on the ground, at the ready, GO at the same time, what do you think will happen?

Well, the observer will claim that he saw the light speeding away from at 0.2X10^8 m/s. But you, now matter how you look at it will say that the light was speeding away from you at 3X10^8 m/s. This is all do to the relative nature of light. In a vacuum the speed of light is what I stated above, never above or below. So it does not matter on the observers situation, the speed of light will always be traveling at 3X10^8 m/s relative to the observer.

Of course they would work, however, you would only be able to see them if you were traveling in a straight line because it would take time to reach the speed of light and in that time they light would have escaped the headlights and you would be chasing it, but if you turned, then you would be at the speed of light when you were generating the light so it would just stay in the bulb

Yup. your headlights will work. but you wont be able to see any thing from the light of ur headlight. You see somthing when the light photones are reflected or emmitted from that object only. so if you travel at the speed of light, the light photones will travel with the car and will not get a chance to bounce off some surface further from the car. So that light photones will not help you to see nything.

They would produce light, but it would never exit the headlights. No one would see the light. Technically it depends on what you mean by working headlights.

The speed of light is estimated at a million miles per minute. Your car would burst into flames and disinigrate almost instantly/

Yes they would I guess. If you light them up before you start going, there'll always be a trace of light ahead of you that you wouldn't catch.
