Good sleeper running backs this year are:

Joseph Addai, Indianapolis Colts - In Addai, the Colts have their man. Addai is a considerable upgrade over Dominic Rhodes and has the potential to be better than Edgerrin James. This guy had deep speed and combines the rushing and receiving skills that the Edge never possessed.

Domanick Davis, Houston Texans - How many guys are betting on Davis to succeed? Last year, Davis was considered to be the 9th best fantasy player out there. This year? I'd be surprised if he was in the top 50. This guy is going to come out motivated and reach the levels that he attained two years ago when he rushed for 1128 yards and 13 touchdowns.

LenDale White, Tennessee Titans - Probability that Chris Brown won't get injured? Less than zero. When White takes over, he will be a beast and boodt the Titans offensive attack.

Willis McGahee, Buffalo Bills - McGahee is coming off a down season of sorts, but he will rebound this year. Expect him to get more touchdowns with around the same number of yards.

Kevin Jones, Detroit Lions - The Lions are going to roar again when Jones puts up the big stats. With Mike Martz on board, Jones is gonna put up the numbers that he is capable of.

DeAngelo Williams, Carolina Panthers - Face it, Foster will never go a whole year without getting injured. When he gets injured, Williams is in and he is going to spin defenders crazy.

Deuce McAllister, New Orleans Saints - Just because Reggie Bush is in doesn't mean that McAllister is out. He will contribute just as much as Bush, and he does have that potential to really break out for a couple of games.

Tatum Bell, Denver Broncos - If he wins the starting job, than watch out! He will run all over defenders and will most likely climb over the 1000 yard plateau.

Hope that helps.

This is a great question and there are a few RB's that could have really good years.

1. Cedric Benson-even though he didn't get much last year due to holding out for so long he's been told hes the starter at this point. Last year Thomas Jones ran for over 1,000 yds and 9 TD's, I think Benson is way more talented than Jones. If he can stay healthy I look for him to have 1,200-1,300 yds and 9-12 td's.

2. Chester Taylor-He will be the feature back in Minnesota, and get the bulk of the carries. While he only got a few carries in Baltimore behind Jamal lewis he has shown signs that he can the feature back for an NFL team. I look for Taylor to go for around 1,000 yds and 7-10 TD's

3. Tatum Bell-This is an interesting guy. He has all the potential in the world (a little small) to be an all-pro back and the ideal offense to do it in, hes just never had the opportunity to do it by himself. Last year he had to split with Mike Anderson, and Ron Dayne. This year it looks like he'll have to split with Dayne again, and possibly Cedric Cobbs. If Bell can get the bulk of the carries (including goalline carries) he can potentially be a top 12 RB. I see him getting 1,150 8-10 TD's

4. Dominic Rhodes-He has some huge shoes to fill with the departure of Edgerrin James. I think Rhodes will do a good job. I think that he will have to split carries with Addai, but will get the bulk at the goalline. I foresee Rhodes getting 850 yds and 7 TD's.

5. Brian Westbrook-I know he's a top 15-17 RB right now, but I think he has the ability to do A LOT more. He will receive more carries out of the backfield this year (he's been reassured by Andy Reid) which means more Fantasy points for you!!! He will still catch about 50 balls out of the backfield, and score a combined 12-15 TD's. He'll have a solid year this year.
good luck to ya.

most sleepers don't have a starting job and require the #1 guy to go down with injury or lose his job. (Lendale White, Bush, Addai, etc.)

Here are some guys who I think will do better than projected, that currently have the #1 job:

Steven Jackson - probably already projected late first round, but could put up numbers this year worthy of a #4-5 overall pick. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Kevin Jones - was terrible last year, but is still #1 - Lions have to do better - he'll improve.

I agree with whoever said Warrick Dunn is always underrated. He puts up 2nd round points with a 4th round selection. Reuben Droughns is in the same boat.

Frank Gore - SF - should do well as a #1 back - could hit 1100 yards potentially.

Warrick Dunn always gets overlooked, that was a great call.

Two guys who are really not sleepers but could put up monster numbers are Steven Jackson in St. Louis and Ronnie Brown in Miami.

Dominic Rhodes and DeAngelo Williams are good late round gambles, as is Ron Dayne in Denver and Cedric Benson in Chicago, who may start over Thomas Jones.

I dont know if you can call someone whos scheduled to go in the first 4 rounds a sleeper, but Jamaal Charles is a sleeper in my book, Justin Forsett of the Seahawks is a sleeper, Any Houston Running back (especially Ben Tate) theres probably more, but cant think of any off the top of my head
