Some ppl do not like hearing God's Word. They prefer partying and having "da time of their lives". When disaster comes they are afraid of dying and so they feel like their lives are being threatened, so they quickly act to this by going to church.

They forget about Him until something bad happens, then they go crying to him for help. People are prideful by nature.
