Guillen (Det), Meche (Sea) and Biggio for V.Wells
or
Meche (Sea) & Biggio for Zito & Prior.

both these trades will go down pending acceptance. So if the other guys doesn't accept, this is all for nothing.

I think i can afford to give up Guillen eventhough he has been hot lately. I just aquired Reys (Mets)

I have real good SP & RP despite Webb being cold of late & Hoffman blowing multiple saves since the break.

Thome & Reyes & Carlos Lee have been cold as well. So i think i might need one more powerful bat to add to my line up now that i lost A-Rod

Pick your poison. It really depends on what you need. If you need hitting, than you should trade for Vernon Wells. If you are in need more for pitching, than try to get Zito and Prior.

If I was in your situation, I would try to get Vernon Wells. For Vernon Wells, you would have to give up Guillen, Meche and Biggio. Guillen is a very solid shortstop, so you better have a solid backup to make up for this loss. Meche is solid but not brilliant, and Biggio is inconsistent to say the least. In Vernon Wells, you will be getting the average, power, runs, RBIs and some stolen bases. I would encourage you to make this deal.

The Meche and Biggio for Zito and Prior trade would be fine also. I do have to mention that Prior sucks this year and isn't likely to get any better, so you would in essence be getting only Zito. If you are willing to give up Meche and Biggio for Zito, than do it.

The better deal, however, is Guillen, Meche and Biggio for Vernon Wells.

The second one because Zito is pretty good and Prior is a well established pitcher that knows a lot about the game.
