The News Story on Mel Gibson is fragmentary, and is still being investigated.
But, if he has been sited with a DUI, he'll pay his fine, etc... just like any other person.
Mega Stars are a social extension of our lives, to state otherwise would be hypocritical, and not noteworthy of mentioning.
He's still A-O-Kay in my book. I'll go see his movies.

Nothing, he'll pay the fine.
If it's only his first one.
If it's a second or third, there could be a major problem for him.
Most likely he'll pay the fine, do some service and go on a drunk tour of AA meetings around town.
Judge might sentence him to make a commercial about Drinking and Driving.
Anyhow he'll just get a slap on the wrist, it's a minor inconvenience for someone like him who can afford a chauffeur even if they suspend his license, it won't be a big deal for him.

oh how the mighty have fallen, i am so glad i hoep this remindes him that he's human like the rest of us. he's so self satisfied all the time now, i wonder if this will bring back the old mel from before the passion movie, cause i miss him.

Nothing, he's rich and famous. Nothing happens to those people. His lawyers will find some kind of loop holes and he'll be cleared of all charges.

I just read this. How sad. It seems he is deeply addicted to everything, cigarettes, coffee, booze. I feel for him. I hope he gets help because I like him. I like him alot.
