Here are a few of my favorite places to eat in Vegas/ Henderson, off of the Strip:
Expensive dining ($20 and up per dish):
* Roy's (620 E. Flamingo Road) -- Hawaiian/ Asian fusion. By far, the best restaurant in Las Vegas off of the Strip.
Moderate dining ($10 - 20 per dish):
* Pumi (239 N Pecos Rd) -- Asian, specializing in Japanese & Chinese. Great atmosphere & service
* Fellini's (Sam's Town) -- Itialian. Same as above
* Il Fornaio (Green Valley Ranch) -- Itialian
Inexpensive dining (Under $10 per dish)
* Ta Ta (Horizon Ridge Rd., Henderson) -- Best value in the Valley for a four-course meal.
* Tacone (2265 Village Walk Dr., Green Valley) -- Tacone serves a GREAT veggie sandwich; order it with their homemade sweet potato fries for $6.00.
* 'Ale'a's (3650 E Flamingo Rd) -- Hawaiian food. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, but this place is owned by my brother. Specializing in Manapua (a sweet bun filled with bean or meat), 'Ale'a's is the only Manapua "shop" on the mainland. (If you stop by, tell Matt -- the owner -- Ian says hello.)

Inside the Barbary coast casino,(on the strip) there is a restaurant that has everything from steak to prime rib at a reasonable price. In old down town vegas in Fremont square there are alot of restaurants you'll have alot of choices. If you are over 21 and are a drinker there is a place(a little casino) called La-buoy ( Its in the Fremont square) it has every alcoholic slushy under the sun from mudslides to margaritas. Have fun.

Best cheap buffet: Main Street Station downtown has upscale atmosphere with downscale prices
Best theme restaurants: Quark's at the Hilton (Star Trek) and Margaritaville (Tropic Beach) at the Flamingo. Great atmosphere, great food. Live music every night at Margaritaville, actors in elaborate costume at Quark's
Best view: Top of the World at the Stratosphere: revolving restaurant with fine dining; see all of Vegas and surrounding area.
PS You should be more specific - BEST means different things to different people.

I LOVE the Pink Taco and Simon in the Hard Rock Hotel. The
Pink Taco is mexican food, and Simon is "homestyle cooking" jazzed up. TO DIE FOR.
Breakfast: America Cafe in NYNY. Hands down.
My boss swears by Prime steakhouse at Bellagio - she's a foodie, so I'd trust her. I like N9NE at the Palms too.
You can find restaurants to fit any appetite and budget. Go look at some of the hotels' websites at the dining listings and see what appeals to you.

All over the place--only place I have ever seen where you would have to hunt for a bad place to eat...The buffet at Excaliber is so ridiculously massive that it made me feel bad about starving people in the world...******* mountains of crab legs and shrimp...
