I had a TERRIBLE ant problem when I first moved into my townhouse. Every morning they were all over my kitchen even when there was no food out.

I bought one of those round plug in things that puts out a super high frequency. I was amazed that it actually worked!!! Haven't had any ants since and it's been four years. It was only about $8. Give it a try.

P.S. I have two dogs and it doesn't seem to bother them so they are safe for pets.

There is no way to permanently get rid of ants. I recommend having a pest inspection done by a qualified inspector to identify the type of ants that you have. Different ants require different treatments. A professional can design a treatment strategy to help eliminate the ants and reduce the possiblity that they will return.

Put some 20 Mule Team Borax in one of the cheap ketchup saqueeze bottles that you can buy at any dollar store and apply around base boards kitchen cabinets and where drain pipes go thru under the cabinets, leave lay for a few days until you no longer see any signs of ants, it WILL kill them, they take it back to their nest. Use the remainder of the box of soap to do laundry, I only have to do this once a year....

put white flour all around the base of your house. Ants won't cross it because it coats their antennae & they can't function.
We spray them on the outside in the yard. They are never going to be beaten, out side, but you can prevent them from coming in.

Boric acid in the powder form- kills all types of crawling bugs- permanantly. you can find it many places, check a hardware store. sprinkle it around your baseboards, the creepy crawlys walk through it and lick it off of each other and they actually blow up.
