All of a sudden my sound does not work on my computer, the sound is totally mute???

You may have it on mute. Open the Control Panel and the Sounds and Devices. Check the settings there. The volume control on the speaker may be turned off or set low.

Double-click on the tiny speaker Icon at the bottom right corner of your screen. Make sure your "master" volume is not muted and is turned all the way up. Also turn up WAV and CD volumes.
Make sure your speakers are properly connected and have power.

something I learned about dell computers..
if you have a volume knob on your keyboard.. turn it up!!
if it's set to all the way down, it will stay there no matter what you do with the computer end.
