No hairy jokes please, just your opinions. I have been shaving it but is this the really best solution? What would girls advise? is having your back waxed a bit gay? or leave it alone and accept it?

Leave it alone, let it grow back! I was with a guy who shaved his chest it was soooo nasty! You know that stubble burn you get from kissing a guy with a beard, try stubble burn on your breasts. ICK! Not to mention, ingrown hairs are nasty!
I love a man with naturally hairy chest, back, shoulders, it's what makes you a MAN, separates you from the boys and the women! :) If I wanted a hairless mate, I'd date women or molest little boys - not my style.
Men are hairy for a reason, roll with it. Why would you want to be with a girl who didn't love ALL of you, just as you are? Save yourself the the girl who loves to run her fingers through your back hair, I swear to you, she exists, and she will loooove you!

Just leave it alone and accept that you like me have very hairy shoulders and a hairy back as well, most women don't mind a man who has a hairy back as well as hairy shoulders and chest, there might be some, so don't worry about them. I have had hairy shoulders and chest since I was a teenage, it has not bothered me the least bit

LIke you I also have hairy shoulders, you should NOT do anything at all, just leave it hairy. Having hairy shoulders is unlike having a hairy chest which I assume you also have, most men have a hairy chest, but we guys who also have hairy shoulders are in a minority, so be proud of that, having hairy shoulders is a bit of a bonus to us hairy guys.

I always used to think hairy backs were minging but my boyfriend of nearly 5 years has a very hairy back and I love it. He's like a big cuddly teddy. I say keep it and be proud

If you are a girl, most definitely have your back waxed or get the electrolysis done, or even the laser based hair removal. No matter which way, some of it will grow back. Not all of it, but it usually takes several treatments to completely remove it.
If you are a guy, yes have it waxed before you even think of asking a girl to get a bikini wax.

If it doesn't trouble you, just leave it. My husband has just started to have his back waxed, because he does a lot of physical exercise which causes the hairs to matt. I get to shave it first with an electric head hair shaver. Number 2 all over, then waxed! It's not gay.

Some girls like hairy men, some like them smooth. If it bothers you, then wax away, but if it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it.
