Mike Judge - but I only base this on his work with Beavis and Butthead.

The other shows employ teams of writers, but the early B & B stuff was all Judge, plus he voiced the characters.

Simpson's through 1996 was possibly the best satire on television, ever... which is why I would give the Groening the nod, though a lot of talented writers also contributed.

Seth McFarlane's voice talents and the randomness of family guy are fantastic, but the simpsons first 5-6 seasons are just too strong as a body of work.

Let's just go with the longevity factor...The Simpsons have been kicking a$$ for, what?, 18 years? King Of The Hill is funny, but I don't see it being produced in 2015, same for Family Guy...

Groening by miles. The other two are quite good, but they never approach the level of genius the Simpsons is capable of.

I agree with Rick H!

Gotta go for the longevity of the show.

King of the Hill, Futurama, Family Guy all probably got started because of The Simpson's!
