Their leader is pretty extreme (Holocaust was a myth, call for destruction Israel, prohibition of western music, etc.) but then again, so is ours. Hard to tell who to be more afraid of - but I think Bush could, and has, done way more damage than that guy whose name I won't even attempt to spell.

I think that most Iranians are good people. I know a few here in the US that just came from there. However their religion that rules the government has certain agendas. One is to destroy Israel and it's allies including the US. The other is to claim the world to Islam and destroy all that oppose. This is a country that hangs teenagers for being gay publicly. I have seen the pictures. The guy running the show is the one that took our hostages during Carter's term and go the Ayatollah back from his exile in France. This guy is nothing less but the next Hitler. Make no mistakes about it. He is not shy about his feelings and has already made his threats known. Lebanon is an allie to this person. That is what this fight is all about. It is about warding off an agenda against Israel that has been brewing for some time.
Now that we have effectively destroyed the Baath party in Iraq by toppling Saddam, the Shiites are the majority again. Iran is Shiite. Can you see where this is going. We have destabilized the entire middle east with our little occupation.

Well Iran received an offer from Russia. The offer was to build up to 3 nuclear power plants in Russia and have them transmit the power to Tehran. The Russians even offered them 100% ownership of the power plants, but Tehran refused. If all they want is the electricity it was offered to them on a platter and they wouldn't even have the problems of nuclear waste and potential fall outs. They didn't want that - why is that you suppose? Because its not the power they want. Not that kind of power anyway.

The Bush Administration is telling the Truth, not too long ago it was proven Bush told the Truth about Iraq having WMDs but the Liberals will never admit to it, nor will they ever admit that they made the same claims themselves under Clinton who himself said the same thing.
Gee I wonder why Clinton was talk and no action but Bush risked his Reputation and Career to actually take action (not to mention he got re-elected inspite of risking his Career and Reputation).

We’ll we’ve got plenty of quotes from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:
“Thanks to the blood of the martyrs, a new Islamic revolution has arisen and the Islamic revolution of 1384 will, if God wills, cut off the roots of injustice in the world.”
“Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury,”
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described on Friday Israel as a “rotten tree” that would be “annihilated with one storm”.
Ahmadinejad first provoked an international outcry in October when he called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday the Holocaust is a "myth" in another sharp attack on Israel's right to exist.

Why spend all the money for nuclear when it costs them next to nothing to produce oil? The only reason has to be for nuclear weapons. Also, note that they rejected Russia's offer to enrich the fuel for them. Why? Because Russia will enrich it only enough for nuclear energy.... while nuclear bombs require much more enrichment.

It is all politics. OUr government will tell us whatever we need to hear so we will support what they do. On the other hand Iran is not going to tell us the truth. They will not come out and say "HEY we need Nukes so we can bomb your ***". So really I do not think that Iran really wants nuclear power. BUt you never really know.

Beside netjr's excellent point is the fact that Iran's leadership has repeatedly stated that Israel does not have the right to exist, that it should be "wiped of the map", etc.
Iran is run by old men who are religiously intolerant and myopic. They are afraid of the secular west undermining their power.
iran is one of the demographically youngest countries in the world.
The rulership there has every reason to fear for its future power.
the young population is not likely to remain hateful for long, if they truely are now.

HELLO? you want nuclear energy for electricity and you're sitting on top of one of the world's largest oil fields? and if you're not on top of it, you're a stone's throw away from it? and YOU'RE IN THE DESERT?
solar power would be a better choice if you ask me.. plenty of sunshine in the desert! but then, you can't blow up Israel with sunshine, now can you?

If Iran is ready to give OIL to US then Iran will become its ally.
Isn't that fact..
This is a cruel fact that US has been taking on many foreign countries since....
