Your mother is right don't do it. Your friends won't always love you and stay at your side like your mom. Inplus if you do get your nipple pierced I hope you dont' plan on breast feading a baby anytime......

First of all if you want to do it then go right ahead..but second u should never disrespect or disobey what you mom tells you too..cuz if you do she won't trust you again for a very long time..don't think bout what your friends want you to do..do u think your friends are going to be their when you don't have your mom's trust and need help for her..the chances are 50-50..so if I was you I would not do the piercing..cuz u should always remember family always come first before your friends...but I hope you make the right choice..Good Luck

When I was at the tattoo shop getting my last tatt, a girl came in to have her nipple pierced. The shriek she let out when the guy did it and the tears that ran down her face for the next 10 minutes tell me it might not be a good thing to do ;)

ok? why are you concerned about what your friends and mother thinks?
do you want it pierced or not?

i didn't ask anyone, i just went and did it b/c i wanted to.
ok, i'm irritated at some of these answers. some answerers haven't done this but claim they know what'll happen. it hurts, but it's not excrutiating. no swelling. i've had no loss of feeling. after the first week, it felt really good when i got cold. u can take it out, the holel will close (before 1yr), and you can still breastfeed from the other boob if you have difficulty w/the pierced one.

Its very painful. Don't do something cause people think you should. On the other side, it does make yourself more sensitive. Thats the reason alot of people do it. Its a pleasure thing, but a whole lot of pain to go through first. It makes it much more sensitive, but then you have to maintenance it too.

Do you really want to do it to be cool?

Methinks you should listen to your Mom on this one. The nipple is one of the most sensitive areas of the body and the pain involved in the piercing is something you'll never forget. Not to mention any jewely getting caught on clothing - OUCH! Please reconsider - it's your body, not your friend's.

I would say no. But if you think about it for a long time [~a year or longer] and you still want to do it... maybe. Bottom line: it's a decision you can never undo [piercings won't close completely] and it will reaaaally hurt.

It is up to you whether you want to get it done. It is your body. Nipple piercings are not too painful to get and can increase nipple stimulation.

no,
1. sonner or later, your mom will find out - you can't wear a sweater in the summer
2. it looks disgusting and its stupid
3. You will have to take it off sooner or later, and will have a tough time with the pain and hig chance of infection
