If nothing is done about Hezbollah they will just rise up and wreak havoc all over again. This is a never ending cycle. Israel has the right to defend itself period.

It is a shame that innocent people are getting caught in the crossfire, and for that I do so wish there was another way. Diplomatic ideas have failed so what else is there?

Not me. Have you thought for 3 seconds what a cease fire would accomplish? There was a cease fire 6 years ago when Israel pulled out of Lebanon, under a UN brokered resolution that Hizbully would disarm. Did that accomplish an everlasting peace, or did it give Hizbully time to acquire 15,000 rockets to fire into Israel, and to dig in in preparations for a fight? The only way to get rid of a hornet's nest is to smash it until the bugs are all dead. If you just let it grow, will that prevent you from ever being stung? What about if you try to cut it down gently (instead of blow torching it), but then halfway through you stop for a peace agreement between you and the hornets?
No, the only solution is to kill all of the hornets, then you will not be stung by that nest again.

I am not upset. Blair has courage.....and brains.....and perspective. When was the last time a ceasefire was successful oner there, or anywhere, for that matter. It's a temporary solution to a permanent problem. The war MUST be carried to a logical conclusion. What special insight do you have that enables you to understand the mentality and goals of the Hezbollah; that a cease fire is guaranteed to be permanent?

(Gee, I'll never get the "best answer" award this way. Darn!!)

Are you an Anti-Semetic person?

I am proud of Blair for supplying Arms to Israel and siding with Bush.

If anyone should ask for a Cease Fire it should be Lebanon oferring to bust Hezbollah in exchange for Israel agreeing to discontinue invasion.

If Lebanon is not gonna bust Hesbollah then I think Israel has every right to go after Hezbollah.

God Bless Israel

He understands the root cause of all the problems in the ME. A cease fire will do nothing but allow the terrorist to rearm from Syria & Iran. That's been the vicious cycle that has gone on for way too long. It is time to crush hezbollah & hamas - and then send a strong message to Syria & Iran to give up on their Islamofacist desires of world domination and become civilized.

Britain , specially Blair , red the manuel very well , USA is the boss (and it's hidden boss is israel) so the answer is : stick to america and win with them , be a follower and they will let you live and give you food .

so what if it is about israel , the real controller of america ? give me your wild guess .... !

don't speack now about peace or anti-seminests , or arabs , or terrorists ... it's a game , and britain is so old in that , knows what to do with the ruler of the world , because once , not very far , it was that one , so Gb knows , and Blair knows and play right , but..... no ethics , no conseince !

As pissed as I am that the US didn't support it either! - and pissed that my country's new PM little Stevie Harper is just a GWB wanna be and does whatever the goon wants.... and mostly I'm pissed off that after 3000 years these people haven't figured out that the only people dieing are the innocent civilians - Kings and PMs and terrorist leaders are untouchable as they sit separate from their people and dish out death to each others people.

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with...WE

Mr. Cool...how is this question in any way suggestive of anti semitism?!?!?!?

I don't know anything that's going on over there other than people are fighting. I do wish both sides would call the 72 hr ceasefire though so the u.n. could get the old sick and and children out. It would be the most humane thing to do.

Annoyed but not surprised. Blair is Bush's lap dog. He will do anything to make himself look influential on the world stage.
