You either blew your headgasket or cracked the head. Headgaskets are not that expensive to replace but are a pain in the ***. A cracked head? You talking machine work...expensive.

#1 if it has spark and fuel it will start (may run rough but will start)
#2 nothin said for answers makes sense
-if it outta colent it will still start but just overheat
-blown head gasket will still start just leak water (maybe run rough)
-if battery was dead then it wouldnt turn over
-bad fuel pump could be it but u said it was getting gas(same with filter)
-radiator and fuel pump will not stop it from running it will just over heat

something you said cant be right because if it has fuel and spark it should at least fire
could be your timing but overheating a car usually wont mess up the timing
my only quetion is when u said it has fuel do u mean in the tank or at the engine???
caz if u only check the tank than it may not be getting to the engine which would be pump or filter???

knowing what type of car would be good, Fords, Chevy's and Toyota's , Nissan's, all can have different problems when over heated. A compression test is needed, could be a head gasket. Timing should not be an issue, but if it has a timing belt, it could have been its last straw and broke. Need to check. fords (yuk) will depend on what time of the month it is.

Chevy's should start right up! Mopar same thing, good cars. so more info would be good. See ya Dave

Blown Headgasket
Cracked Head
Bad MAP sensor

Sounds like your battery died. Also, check you water level. If water ran out then your car could have overheated and killed the battery.
