old arabic music was straight not the classic stuff but like the 1990s kind of arabic music.... but today most arabic music videos consist of slutty girls, some fat guy singing to them.... or a slutty girl (nancy aghram) who sings to slutty stuff..... ( the arabic music industry isn't really being unique, its just following the American music industry but they're always going to be 10 years behind)arabic music won't never be as appealing to me as american music is..... but all slow arabic songs are good, us arabs got the musical instruments that make it sound good :-) well anyways i stated my point so peace

It all has something going for it.
Totally different to 'western' music. I find the use of vocals entrancing - even thought I have no idea what they are singing about.
I love Omar Faruk Tekbilek, the Turkish Sufi musician.

interesting scales and modes, but so often the arabs are only thought of as exemplifying islam and politics we should try to focus on the many achievements of these amazing people

For example I like the song "Aisha"- Khaled.I can't comment on this.

old defiantly. new are so bad not all but some of the singers are so bad they don't have the voice they have the look and money they think that is enough its not.
