Polyamide resins are used to induce "cure" of epoxy adhesives. In other words, these are the catalysts that cause the epoxy to solidify.

There are a number of them (reference 1).

Simply put, it is a type of polymer. Polymers are long chains of simpler molecules covalently linked together - polymerized. Plastics are polymers along with any additives to stabilize or modify their properties.

can withstand the highest temperature of any thermoset. this resin is also used in aircraft tech.
