It can take awhile for your body to recover from the effects of hypoglycemia. Even though your blood sugar is back to normal, it's still really hard on the body to get that low, and it takes awhile to feel normal again.
Do you have diabetes, or just hypoglycemia? If you just get hypoglycemic, the reason that you still feel shaky and tired after eating might be that you are eating the wrong things. You might try eating a more protein filled snack (peanut butter, cream cheese, meats) in addition to the normal snack or drink to get your blood sugar up. That will have more "staying power" and keep your blood sugar at more normal levels for longer. It also would be a great idea to see your doctor just to make sure that there is not a hidden medical problem causing the shakiness.
Hope this helps!
And for the answerer before me, hypoglycemia is another term for low blood sugar (usually under 70 mg/dl in adults and 60 mg/dl in children).

What are you eating? My sister has hypoglycemia and anytime it affects her she drinks a glass of orange juice and feels better in about 10 minutes

Try drinking a glass of real juice with a teaspoon or two of sugar in it about twenty minutes before you eat if you are feeling shakey. This will raise your blood sugar faster then the solid food will keep it up.

You really should eat smaller meals, more frequently, and mix your carbs with some protein, this should help keep your blood sugars at an even level. Caffeine will also drop your blood sugars. It's a fine balancing act. Good luck!!

after eating sugars?
you need to avoid sugar, glucose. Ask the type of hypoglycemia you have. Mine is mild, so I control it with diet sodas, sweet and low, sugar free foods, etc

Once your blood suger gets low and you eat to spike it, It can sometimes have a rollercoaster effect. It will go up and down for a few days. Eat many small protien type snacks a day to keep it level.

Too much sugar or carbs will cause your insulin to kick right in and lower your blood sugar, again. You need small, frequent meals of protein and fruit or veggies. Please ask your doctor to prescribe a nutritionist visit for you. He/she will show you how to eat so you feel good all the time. Good luck1

You're crashing from the sugar - if you were really hypoglycemic, your body used the sugar that you ate too fast and there you go
