I think she was stupid for marrying Charles, and probably stupid for sleeping with Fayad.
Dangerous ground she was on, Q.E.D.

Diana was a divorced woman, and free to enter any relationship she wished. Fayad wasn't my idea of a dream boat, but as he never asked me out, it was never a problem.
Diana likely had a limited list of suitors. Like Jackie O, she was used to a certain life style, and there are not a lot of young hunks around who can afford the life styles of either Jackie O or Diana. So what might seem bizarre to the hoi polloi (that's you and me) isn't in the stratospheric worlds that these ladies occupied.

I'm sorry to have to say what I'm going to say, too, but just because we think of something isn't always a good reason to ask it or say it.
A lot of us have great respect and deep feelings about Diana, even knowing that everything she did was not always the best.
She accomplished a lot in her short life. She had a difficult life, and yet she affected the lives of many people in ways that lasted. I know this from someone who knew her personally,
and worked with her personally.
She is dead now, in the hands of God now, and I think we should remember the good, and leave the rest with God.

I think she was a very disturbed young woman, who thought it would be terrific to be married to the heir to the throne. She forgot that the main reason for marrying someone was that you should love and support them. She hadn't grown up, and relied on her looks to endear people. I think she was the daughter -in-law from hell. But I also felt sorry for her, she made such a fool of herself! As for Dodi, I think she was just having a good time with him. She'd never have married him, silly as she was, she wasn't that silly! I also believe that the media went a long way towards destroying her. (In fact those french photographers probably were mainly responsible for her death, but like cowards everywhere, shucked off their responsibility when the chips were down) One even photographed her dying, in the car!!!!! You can't get more sleazy than that. (And people who call others $lut, are not very nice people themselves - get some self-respect!)
Who could blame Charles for looking for support elsewhere?

Does that make your mum a slu* for sleeping with your dad?
Or any woman who didn't die a virgin a slu*?
When society stops trying to degrade and demean people for enjoying their sex life, I wonder what all the small-minded judgemental gossips will do to occupy their time.

Its interesting to see how many people have no respect for the living or the dead. Why not look at and judge your own actions before wailing manifold about others shortcomings?

She was a great lady with a hard unlucky life. She tried hard to do the best in everything and really made a difference in many things. What people do with their beds is their business and theirs alone. DO PEOPLE ASK YOU WHO YOU SLEEP WITH? Let her poor soul rest.

to some extent perhaps, as she wanted continue with the yachts, the 1000$ dinners at the Ritz, the solitaire diamonds, the jaguars, the cruises, the private jets...so obviously despite much sympathy we could have (bless her soul), concretly she could be considered as what you suggested...sorry but it's true if you think of it...and perhaps it was her affaire with Dodi that pushed the queen mummy to mandate the british secret service to bump her off?...who knows..who knows...
