Rome. The Romans were the first civilization to figure it out. We are standing on the footsteps of Cicero, Mark Antony, Julius Caeser and the rest. The Brits captured a world empire because of the influence of Rome. Go to Britain today and you will see the remnants of Hadrian and all of the empire. Our fundamental beliefs in a natural law - that all men are created equally and endowed by their creator - all came from Rome. God chose that time - the height of the Roman empire - to send his Son to the world as the Messiah. The Jews were great, but what would we have done without Rome? We would have been f'd.
