If you already have Word, use that.
If not, download OpenOffice.org (http://www.openoffice.org/ ).
It is a full featured office suite that include not only a program comprable to Word (that can also read and write word documents), but also a presentation software (similar to Power Point), and a spreadsheet program (similar to Excel).

With Windows XP you can go into the tools section and go to letters and mailings. Once you get in there it is pretty self explanitory. Good Luck.

You can use Word, to Tools, to Letters & Maililngs, then to Envelopes and Lables. and then pick the style of mailing labels that you have.
