I don;t . I just can't see how they can be punks and I also find their songs quite badly written and often confusing, without theme or even a tune at some times.
I also find that there are much better indie bands than all the typival 'punk' and 'rock' bands- I prefer the Editors, Franz Ferdinand and New Order. Green Day seem jaded and banal in comparison.

I hate Green Day. If they wanna talk sh!t about the government and about God you can tell them to go to another country. Not to mention that they should probably go away because they've been around for way too long. I haven't liked a single song since "Good Riddance".
In conclusion, Green Day is horrible. They are actually the one and only band I truly hate.

I loved Green Day when I was younger, I think their music is great up until their most recent stuff. It's just kinda of cheesy and over-political.

I like green money, but the color green does not match my style. Given, I do not hate green, but I much prefer pink, orange, yellow, and red.
