I agree with AZ Imagined. This question gets posted here again and again and again, and the answers split into the same two crowds:

1) those who *know* that astronauts from the United States of America did land on the moon, and walked on the surface of the moon on six different missions, leaving behind many instruments and devices that we still use to this day, and

2) the conspiracy theorist nut-jobs who claim that it was all a great hoax because of some imagined "inconsistencies" in what they interpret from the photographic record.

And I have answered this question innumerable times in the affirmative. Americans landed and walked on the moon. Done deal.

We ...?--

Speak for yourself ...

24 American astronauts landed on the moon, by pairs, 12x2 ... A few more than that (some 40 or so) rounded the moon.

Add to that a few dozen mechanical landers, both USA American and USSR/CCCP-Russian ... and likewise crashes thereupon ....

Add to that speculation about ancient astronauts ....

You can ask them personally, and they'll say, Yes.

The *possibility* of landing on the moon, -again,- is near equally or greater or lesser ....

Proofs are various, including, telescopic sightings of the actual landings at the time, radio-antenna signals at the time (see The Dish, as docudrama), telescopic sightings anytime of the now-derelict base stations and LEM (excursion modules) ...

Or if you prefer reading about conspiracy theories, read Terry Bisson's The Hole In The Hole (sci-fi dramedy).

What is it you really want?- A piece of the rock? Moondust?

Ray.

WTF do people keep asking the question? Sheesh, it's several times a day the morons keep asking it. Oh well, they are stupid enough to even ask the question it's no surprise they don't notice the list of similar questions before they hit the submit button.
