Search online for "currency converter" and the site will tell you how many pounds you get for a dollar and vice versa. It's based on 1 pound or 1 dollar. you will have to multiply for other amounts.

Currency exchange rates fluctuate constantly. Today 1 GBP is worth about $1.86 US. So, if something cost 2 pounds, that would be about $3.72.

Note to answerer above: Gas is nowhere near $1.50 a gallon in the US these days... I can't get a gallon any cheaper that $3.23 today.

the last time i looked, UK money is worth more than the US money., If you have $1 in US is worth less in UK money. Google for a conversion site, the rate changes daily.

I don't remember the exact web site but go to your search engine and type"currency converter". This will take you to the most current site that does this.
