Actually, I love reading and have not read this book due to the hype. It puts me off. Nor do I desire to see the film. All the media attention makes me feel it's all a bit pretentious, and cannot survive on its own merit, but rather is dependent on the buzz of the "fad" as it were.

But I may be wrong. When the hype dies down I may get round to reading it and judging for myself. I like to make my own decisions on life without being TOLD what to think. I'll wait 'til the shepherd has put all the sheep safely back in their pens.

There is much we need to digest and keep in mind when we read what the media is presenting to us. Log on to the following link and read Alexander Solzhenitsyn's address to Harvard on 8 June 1978.

He presents a good question when he asks "By what law has the media been elected and to whom is it responsible."

Are we being fed a pap that is robbing us of our right to be thinking individuals?

Totally agree. It's all a load of rubbish anyway, preposterous plot and really badly written. Utter tripe.
