You can do it but it will screw up a lot sites for you. One will scan it while the other is trying to scan it and they will just stop everything and say you are under attack. and shut it off. it is hard to make it work.
I hope this helps. I know because I thought my antivirus was out of date, and so I got another and did not bother to delete the old one. guess what it was still working. and i had an unholy mess for a while.

I've done it in the past, and can't see why you could not run 2 antivirus softwares at the same time. There might be a couple conflicts in the beginning, but once you resolve them you should be able to run them both concurrently.
If you are willing to pay for 2 subscriptions, go ahead. However, keep in mind that if you are careful to keep your antivirus definitions up-to-date and are careful not to visit obscure web sites, a single antivirus software should be enough.
Also, you can add additional protection by making sure you run an antispyware/adware software along with your antivirus. A good program that is free, is Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE. It's well recognized.
You can download Ad-Aware from the sources below.

It's a bad idea to have more than one virus software's installed. They can conflict, and corrupt your system. And they all update the same viruses, just different companies call viruses by different names. So your always protected. Because why would you buy an AntiVirus program that didn't protect you from all viruses!?!? Just choose one, and know that your fine.

No, no, no, no, NO!
Your machine will slow to a crawl and it's completely pointless.
Remember that almost all Antivirus companies use different names for the viruses so you will find that generally they will work against the same trojans even if the names don't match.
Just buy one decent AV package and you'll be fine.

hi, i recommand you to use firefox. firefox is more safe than IE.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
firefox can edit which site/popup to block and unblock.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
