If you're not willing to lose everything you own for the other person, then its not love. Just remember, that could be a real result. Marriage is a declaration of unconditional love.

Besides, the only circumstance where you'd really lose much is if you divorced due to YOUR mistake. (i.e., you cheated.) If you're not confident in your own behavior, then its not love. The same applies to your fiancee.

If you want to get married in a church, often they will not marry you if you have a prenup.

I think these are only good for the filthy rich who may have gold diggers marrying someone just for money, or for protection of their family heirlooms or inheritances, etc.

I think for normal average people, a prenup is a violation of the sanctity of marriage. You shouldn't enter into this committment with the paperwork to give you a safe "out" if you decide to bail. I think Prenups are for cowards

Yes. People change over time. The love of your life will change into a different person in 20 years. You will change as time goes by too. Never leave your financial security in the hands of another.

What's the statistic... about 50% of marriages are failing these days ???

If you have anything to protect, go for it. Else, don't even bring it up. It's just gonna cause unneccessary drama.

I signed a prenup when I got married. I am still a little hurt over it. It makes me feel like my husband doesn't trust me, or truly love me. I don't know how to get over it.
